The Studio

The studio is located in the lovely rural area of the Westholme Valley, one hour north of Victoria on Vancouver Island, BC. The acreage is dotted with sculptures, gardens, ponds, funky sheds, where whimsy abounds. As you drive here, you will gradually feel all your tension and responsibilities drift away as you approach this beautiful, natural setting.

You will be greeted by Linda, Pablo (the dog), and any “free range” animals that might be around. If you are coming to the studio for a workshop or class, you will enter the warm, cozy and creative space warmed by a pellet fired wood stove during the cold season. Aprons, clay and tools await you, with the gentle and creative support of Linda Richter.

Here, there are no mistakes, and no judgments. It is your special time in the flow of creativity, surrounded by nature, and others who are immersed in their creative process. There may be music, conversation, laughter, cookies and coffee. And there may be the glowing silence, as all are absorbed into the clay and their creations.
